Gun shooting horror video game of survival, allowing two players to play simultaneously. It was co-developed by two video game giants, Capcom and Namco.
The story takes place on Orphan Island where heroes Steve Burnside and Claire Redfield are being held captive. Once the two escape, they find that the island has been overrun with zombies. To complete the game, Steve and Claire must somehow find a way to flee the island, while having to fight off the hundreds of members of the undead who are constantly trying to attack and kill them.
In the gameplay, one player can take the role of Claire, while the second player can use Steve. Steve will appear as a CPU-controlled character from time to time when playing a single-player game. You start out with a limited amount of ammo and fight your way through several rooms, where you can gather up weapons, ammo and other items to get to the end of the stage. At the end of each level a boss character exists to add to your challenges.
