Sequel to the original virtua on. Player once again climb aboard their choice of gigantic robot combatants. The main changes are to the amount of controls and moves the robot can perform.
The player still uses the 2 joystick systems with buttons for weapons and turbo. The turbo function has been improved the player can now, dash forwards, backwards, to the side and even to a aerial dash. As well as a dash cancel to cut the dash short and dash attacks.
Weapons are grouped into long range which are normally lock-on. Close combat weapons are selectable when the other combatant is within range. The joysticks can be then used to shield your robot from a strike or quickly circle to the opponents rear. A unblockable crouch attack is also possible.
