Chunithm Music Arcade Machine is an arcade rhythm game developed and distributed by Sega, which uses touch and motion sensor controls to play, allowing players to hit notes faster and more frequently!
In Chunithm, players use touch and motion-based sensor bars to input commands that correspond to the notes scrolling down from the top of the screen. Depending on the type of note, players may be required to tap, hold, or slide their fingers against the bottom sensor bar or wave their hands in the air between the sensors located on either side of the machine.
Notes need not be fixed-width like in many other rhythm games, each note can be as little as 1/16th as wide as the playing field, or as wide as the entire playfield, so depending on the note player has some leeway in how precise player has to be to hit it.
The cabinet is of smaller height, using glass panels around the screens to insulate sound for those outside and to amplify it for players. The cabinet features woofer speakers and a 32" display, as well as bright LED lighting, which is used quite heavily in the cabinet to attract and entertain players and onlookers.
