The player can attain new weapons by hitting special objects throughout the three stages. They can also switch weapons to defeat various adversaries using an on screen menu by pulling the trigger while hiding from the enemy.
Players chose from a handgun, machine gun, shot gun and grenades. The bullets for each weapon are limited with the exception of the default weapon, the handgun. The handgun is automatically selected when the bullets are depleted from the other weapons.
There is more depth in this exciting version of Time Crisis, as players must use strategy to determine the appropriate weapon for each of the numerous situations. Unique camera angles maximize the advantages of the System 246 software.
